Section A – Overview

This Privacy Policy explains how Tumire collects, uses, stores, and protects information when you use the app. Tumire is a plant care assistant that helps users analyze plant conditions, generate care suggestions, create reminders, and keep light local records. This policy applies to information provided through the app, including photos, notes, reminder settings, purchase-related records, and technical information needed to operate the service.

We aim to collect only the minimum information reasonably necessary to provide the app’s features. Tumire is designed to avoid unnecessary data collection, avoid public sharing features, and give users control over their saved records and reminders.

Section B – Changes to Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect app changes, legal requirements, security practices, or operational improvements. When we make material changes, we will update the “Last updated” date shown at the top of this policy. Continued use of Tumire after an updated policy becomes effective means you accept the revised policy to the extent permitted by applicable law.

If a change requires additional consent under applicable law, we will request that consent before applying the change to your data.

Section C – Information We Collect

We may collect the following categories of information:

• Information you provide directly: plant photos you take or import, quick notes, care context such as plant type, indoor or outdoor setting, last watered details, sunlight level, saved care records, reminder details, action tags, and support messages if you contact us.
• Generated app content: plant status labels, possible reasons, care steps, observation suggestions, reminder suggestions, and saved history entries generated from your use of the app.
• Purchase and balance information: records related to free usage counts, coin balance, transaction validation, and purchase status necessary to manage in-app purchases.
• Automatically collected technical data: app version, device type, operating system version, language setting, basic diagnostic events, crash information, and limited server or network logs required for security, stability, and fraud prevention.
• Permissions-based data: camera access when you choose to take a photo, photo library access when you choose to import or save images, and notification permission when you choose to create reminders.

Tumire does not require account registration for core MVP use unless future features explicitly introduce it.

Cookies and similar technologies: The mobile app does not rely on browser cookies in the traditional web sense for core functionality. However, limited local storage, secure device storage, or similar app technologies may be used to remember settings, store history, maintain reminder mapping, and preserve app state.

Section D – Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures to protect information against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, alteration, or disclosure. These measures may include encrypted network transmission where applicable, access controls, limited internal access, secure processing workflows, validation of purchase records, and protective safeguards for infrastructure systems.

While we take reasonable steps to protect data, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure. For that reason, we cannot guarantee absolute security. Users should also protect access to their devices, keep operating systems updated, and manage device-level permissions carefully.

Section E – International Data Transfers

Depending on your location and the technical infrastructure used to operate Tumire, information may be processed or stored in countries or regions other than your own. These locations may have data protection laws that differ from those in your jurisdiction.

When international transfers occur, we take reasonable steps to ensure appropriate protection of personal information, including limiting access, using secure service arrangements, and applying contractual safeguards where relevant. Any such processing remains subject to this Privacy Policy.

Section F – AI Processing

Tumire may use automated analysis to generate plant care suggestions from the image and context you provide. We do NOT use any third-party AI services to process user data. All AI processing is performed exclusively on our own internal servers.

Your uploaded image, notes, and care context are used only to generate the requested plant care result. We do not use your submitted content to train, retrain, fine-tune, benchmark, or optimize AI models. We do not use your data for generalized model development. We do not use your data for advertising, behavioral analysis, or profiling.

Uploaded content used for analysis is processed temporarily and deleted after processing is completed, except for any result or local record you choose to save within the app. Temporary processing data is deleted after completion of the requested task. If processing fails, the temporary data is deleted as part of the cleanup workflow.

AI-generated suggestions are intended as general plant care assistance only and may be incomplete or inaccurate. They are not a substitute for professional horticultural advice.

Section G – Data Retention

We keep information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this policy:

• Uploaded content for analysis: deleted after processing is completed.
• Temporary processing data: deleted after completion of the requested analysis or related processing workflow.
• Generated results saved in app history: stored until you delete them. Users can delete individual records or clear all local data at any time through the app. The app history is designed to keep only a limited recent set of records locally.
• Reminder data: kept until you edit, complete, remove, or clear the associated reminders or app data.
• Crash logs and technical diagnostics: retained for up to 12 months, unless a shorter period is required for security or legal reasons.
• Support messages and related correspondence: retained for up to 6 months after the issue is resolved, unless longer retention is required by law or to resolve disputes.
• Purchase verification and fraud-prevention records: retained for as long as reasonably necessary to validate transactions, resolve errors, comply with legal obligations, and protect the service.

Section H – Face Data / Biometric Information

Tumire is not designed for facial recognition or biometric identification. We do NOT perform facial recognition. We do NOT perform biometric analysis. We do NOT create, collect, store, or share face templates, biometric identifiers, or biometric profiles.

If a user accidentally uploads an image containing a person, that image is processed only for the requested plant-related analysis, not for any face-related purpose. Such uploaded content is deleted after processing is completed, subject only to user-controlled local saving of results or thumbnails within the app.

Section I – Children's Privacy

Tumire is intended for users aged 17 and older. We do not knowingly design the app for children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 17. If you believe a person under 17 has provided personal information through the app, please contact us so appropriate steps can be taken. If we become aware that we have collected information from a child under the applicable age threshold in violation of law, we will take reasonable steps to delete it.

Section J – Data Sharing

We do NOT sell, rent, or trade user data.

We do NOT share any user-uploaded or user-generated content with any third party.

We do NOT use any third-party AI services to process user data. All AI processing is performed exclusively on our own internal servers.

We may use a limited number of third-party service providers only for basic infrastructure needs such as cloud storage, server hosting, or other essential technical operations. Any such provider acts solely on our behalf and under our instructions, is bound by contractual obligations to ensure data security, and is NOT permitted to use user data for any purpose beyond what we specifically instruct.

These infrastructure providers:

• do NOT use data for advertising or user profiling;
• do NOT use data for AI training or model optimization;
• do NOT use data for their own purposes or redistribute it;
• do NOT independently access or use user content except as strictly necessary to provide infrastructure services under our instructions.

We may also disclose limited information if required to comply with applicable law, enforce our legal rights, respond to valid legal process, investigate fraud or abuse, or protect users, the app, or the public. Any such disclosure will be limited to what is reasonably necessary.

Section K – User Rights

Depending on your location and applicable law, you may have the right to:

• access the personal information we process about you;
• request correction of inaccurate information;
• request deletion of your information;
• export or copy certain data you have stored in the app, where technically available;
• withdraw consent for permissions such as camera, photo access, or notifications through your device settings;
• request information about how your data is used.

You may also manage many items directly inside the app by deleting records, removing reminders, or using the delete-all-data feature. Withdrawal of permission may affect app functionality. If you contact us regarding privacy rights, we may need enough information to understand and process the request.

Section L – How We Use Information

We use information only for legitimate app purposes, including to:

• analyze plant photos and related inputs to generate plant care suggestions;
• display and save care cards, reminder suggestions, and history entries you choose to keep;
• create and manage local notifications you request;
• maintain free-use counts, coin balances, and purchase validation;
• improve security, reliability, error handling, and app performance;
• respond to support requests and troubleshoot issues.

We do NOT use user data for AI training. We do NOT use user data for ads. We do NOT use user data for profiling. We do NOT sell user data.

We also do not use user content to build advertising audiences, infer sensitive traits, or support third-party analytics for unrelated purposes.

Section M – User Consent and Acceptance

By downloading, accessing, or using Tumire, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Privacy Policy and agree to the collection, use, storage, and processing of information as described here. If you do not agree with this policy, please do not use the app.

Where required by applicable law, permission-based data access such as camera, photo library, and notifications is requested at the time you choose to use the relevant feature. You may decline permissions, but some functions may not work properly without them.
